The legacy I want to bequeath to Nollywood – Sharon Okpamen

Okpamen Enorese popularly known in Nollywood as Sharon Okpamen is one of the examples of entrepreneurs riding the wave of success in the entertainment industry.

The Bini, Edo-born filmmaker, since starting her production company, Sharonny Production Enterprise in 2015, has been as prolific as to produce more than 12 films.

She has also expanded her entrepreneurship into beauty and fashion business where she is the CEO of Sharonny Glamour World, a business concerns that deals in human hair, clothes and beauty accessories.

While speaking about her experience as an entrepreneur in a recent interview, Sharon Okpamen avowed that business owners face critical challenges in the entertainment industry.

“Being an entrepreneur hasn’t been easy because the sale of CDs is fast waning away, but I am not discouraged, because I have a passion for what I am doing,” she articulated.

On how she has been scaling the hurdles, she informed: “I am raising all my jobs to a standard that can suit cinema and other platforms.”

Okpamen Enorese further offered insight on how she has been running her creative businesses. “My beauty and film businesses go together. I am the number one patron of Sharonny Glamour World because I need it in character expression for movies coming from the stable of Sharonny Production.”

Of the impact she wants to make with her outfits, Sharon Okpamen disclosed: “I want to run a full entertainment company where young, up-and-coming artistes are trained to embrace moviemaking as a profession, not just a training that will give them a means of livelihood, but a training that enables them to have areas of specialization.”

Speaking of the long-term vision for her showbiz enterprise, she said: “In 10 years, I hope to own a movie studio equipped with all the necessary filmmaking equipment.”

Though a beauty specialist, Sharon Okpamen has a jaundiced view of cosmetic surgery. “Everybody has a choice, but I don’t subscribe to it. I like what God has endowed me with,” she stated.

Of love and relationship, the Take A Fall actress who is still single avowed: “I prefer a man who has an intelligent mind, and who will support me and my career.
