Last week we brought you five out of ten platforms that are redefining the way people bank. They are products of innovation aimed at easing the stress you go through and speeding up the process for you. For the last five, we have VoguePay, KongaPay, Paga, PayU and CashEnvoy.
VoguePay
Co-founded by Leke Ojikutu, VoguePay is a platform that provides you an alternative to cash in transacting and makes it simple and secure to sell or buy goods and services – or trade across local and international markets.
VoguePay was the first platform in Nigeria where account opening was made free for everyone. The good news about is that the user do not get to pay charges until your transactions are successful.
KongaPay
KongaPay is one of the few payment platforms that support all the major banks in Nigeria. you can also verify your BVN details using KongaPay. Other unique features on KongaPay include the zero transaction fee – no matter what transaction you make on the app, be it airtime purchase, TV subscription payment, money transfer, there are absolutely no charges.
On the KongaPay app, you can also set up auto-renewal for TV subscriptions. This means you do not have to go through the same payment process every time you need to renew your GOTV or DSTV bills. You can save up to N2, 000 every month from transacting using KongaPay.
Paga
The app allows users to deposit money in bank accounts, pay bills, and top-up airtime from their mobile phones. Paga has over 3,600 customers in the SME segment and about 3.4 million users. Its services are offered through a network of over 8,850 agents across Nigeria.
The app works on the most basic SMS enabled phone and on all mobile networks so customers have the liberty to have Paga account available at their finger tips regardless of what phone or network they are using.
PayU
With physical presence in 16 high growth markets including Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, PayU provides a fast, simple and efficient payment process for merchants and buyers. The platform is designed to make online payment on computer, tablet, mobile device, e-wallet or even offline simple and secure.
CashEnvoy
This is a payment service that allows businesses receive payment online. The payment platform commenced operations in November 2009. Websites that accept CashEnvoy can accept payment from all the major Nigerian debit cards and also from the CashEnvoy wallet.
With a personal account you can only make payment online but with a business account you can send money, make payment, withdraw funds and receive payment.
