Florence Yaakugh, Taraba State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has expressed hope that the re-election of Governor Darius Ishaku would sustain the cordial relationship existing between the Service and the government in the state.
Yaakug expressed her hope Friday at the swearing in ceremony of batch (B stream l) orientation course held at the camp ground in Jalingo.
According to her, the unflinching support by the governor in his last administration in ensuring the smooth running of the camp activities was commendable, saying that she hoped the governor would raise his help to the state NYSC to attract more commendations and prayers of youths.
She said the governor’s continued support to the camp built a positive drive on the future of corps members by introducing them to several skills acquisition and training programmes in order to make them self-reliant after their service year.
While wishing the corps members good luck in their orientation course, Yaakugh congratulated governor Darius Ishaku on his re-election and successful swearing as governor of Taraba state for a second term.
Meanwhile, governor Ishaku who was represented by the state head of civil service, Simon Angyu, promised to consistently pay the corps members the monthly allowance to enable them feed at home.
He warned against corps members attending night parties and unnecessary journeys for their safety, and challenged them to be ambassadors of their various institutions and States.
