The South West Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stated its readiness to free people of the region from what it called “shackles of maladministration that is currently foisted on them by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the zonal secretary of the party, Bunmi Jenyo, copies of of which were obtained by newsmen in Osogbo on Monday.
The statement noted that the South West PDP under the leadership of the National Vice Chairman, Dr. Eddy Olafeso, is also prepared to heal ‘wounds’ within and outside PDP, in each of the six states in preparation for the 2018 and 2019 elections.
The party then expressed hope in unflinching support of members towards achieving the supreme goal of reclaiming all South Western states for PDP.
The statement reads in party: ” We hereby express our profound gratitude to all our leaders and loyal members in the Zone, especially for standing by the Zonal Executives throughout our struggles till this day.
“The appreciation becomes imperative as your unalloyed support, resilience and doggedness for over 14 months ahead of this well deserved triumph of truth and justice really showed your love for the membership of our great party and Nigerian citizens in general.
“While we look forward to seeing your continuing determination to uphold the cause of justice, equity and good governance in all areas of administration, we cannot but appreciate you for a huge confidence and responsibility reposed in Dr. Eddy Olafeso-led Zonal Executives.
“Without mincing words, the Zonal Executives are happily prepared to pilot the political affairs of the South West states to an enviable height, with a view to salvage citizens from the shackles of maladministration that is currently obtainable in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Once again, we sincerely hope to see your unflinching support towards the achievement of our supreme goal of reclaiming all our South Western states for our great party (PDP).”
