Fast rising Nigerian social media comedian, Pankeeroy born Nwagbo Chidera Oliver has said his passion for creativity inspired him to join the entertainment industry.
Although 20, Pankeeroy, a Redeemers University undergraduate is bent on making a notable different in Showbiz.
“Actually, my venturing into the entertainment industry all came from my passion first then my creative mind works like a clock; always ticking. I love creativity and always give it my best shot. So, it led me into showbiz, the comedy part of it.
Since I was a child, I had always looked up to
Will Smith, Chris Brown and Usher Raymond as my role models. They have all it takes to be world famous with their crafts. I knew that someday I’d be like them,” he told Business Day.
Just like other super stars, young star Pankeeroy has experienced some major challenges as a green horn in the industry.
He says, ” It has not been easy at all. One of the major challenges I faced starting up was structural issues; like managing myself as a brand before I eventually got a manager. I had to overcome those tough days by having a mentor and avoiding mistakes through experience shared by others.
I would also boldly say that the major price I paid to gradually become a rising reputable brand is Selflessness. I don’t rest until I achieve my set goals.”
Pankeeroy also expressed his thoughts on Nigeria’s economy and how it is affecting his career, “Generally, I would say Nigeria’s economy is favorable to me. The growth in the different sectors for example entertainment has been significant thereby creating awareness for the Creative minds in the industry and also increased my growth rate,” he submitted.
On his plans for the rest part of 2018, the Anambra State born Entertainer said, “Bringing forth my entrepreneurial skills through developing my business ideas out of the brand created. Alongside travelling for shows and other events to enable me interface with my fans (pancakes).”
