The PHC facility, which is currently undergoing renovation, was part of the present administration’s health agenda in the revitalisation of 10,000 PHC across the country.
Adewole during the visit lauded the level of work going on at the PHC Kuchigoro, adding that the PHC would be used as a flagship of the revitalisation programme of the PHCs across the country.
The minister, a statement from the Ministry of Health, challenged Kuchigoro community to take ownership of the project to enable it deliver health services to that area and for sustainability.
He was quoted in the statement as saying that,‘’ we will provide seed grant to enable you run the facility, we will not run it for you, it will be owned by you.”
He commended the support of WHO, General Electric (GE) and other partners towards providing Effective and Efficient PHC services to the community.
Earlier, the acting executive director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Emmanuel Odu, promised that the facility would be ready for take-off once the work is completed this December.
