President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the National Assembly resume efforts to tackle issues of unhealthy Executive/ Legislature relationships at a meeting scheduled to take place tonight at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting with the lawmakers which was initially scheduled for Wednesday, BusinessDay gathered, was shifted due to the challenging engagements of the President who traveled to Damaturu and Dapchi to meet parents of the students who were abducted from the Government Science Technical School, Dapchi.
The meeting which scheduled for 9pm at the First Lady Conference Hall is expected to last late into the night.
The meeting is also expected to resolve issues around the order of the 2019 general elections as passed by the National Assembly which the President declined to assent to.
The 2018 Appropriation Bill which is still pending before the National Assembly will also come into focus, as well as other recent bills passed by the lawmakers which have not been signed by the President.
The is crucial as the 2019 general elections remain a critical factor and decisions arrived at are seen as critical to the future electoral prospects of the party, especially given the crises and ill-feelings currently rocking the All Progressive Congress (APC)
