President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a former deputy governor of Lagos state, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire as his Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Her appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
The SDGs are a continuation of the Millennium Development Goals( MDGs) which ended in December last year, giving way for the SDGs.
Orelope-Adefulire who served as Deputy-Governor of Lagos State in the last administration and is an accomplished politician with many years of experience in public service.
She has also served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos State.
