The Falconets have commenced preparations in Kigali ahead of Sunday’s 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup second round, first-leg clash with the Rwandan U20 girls at the Kigali-Pele Stadium, formerly known as the Stade Regional Nyamirambo.
On Friday morning, the players held a recovery training session at their hotel gym. The squad trained with energy, zeal, and motivation under the guidance of the technical crew, showing great spirit and determination as they gear up for the crucial encounter.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed officials from Sierra Leone and Liberia for the match.
Aminata Fullah of Sierra Leone will be the referee, assisted by Liberian Hannah Lydia Moses (assistant referee 1) and Fatmata Mansaray of Sierra Leone (assistant referee 2).
The fourth official is Love Tuu Wehyee from Liberia, while Militna Ivanete Amrie from Seychelles will serve as commissioner, and Amegee Aissata Ameyo will act as referee assessor.
Sunday’s match is scheduled to kick off at 3pm local time in Kigali (2pm in Nigeria).
