Travel ban to Israel lifted
The US aviation authorities have lifted the two day old ban on flights into Israel’s Ben Gurion airport in Tel Avi following a care review of the security threat posed to flights by rockets fired into Israel by Palestinian militant group Hamaz.
Israel had called the ban a victory for terrorism but giving the downing of the Malaysian plane over Ukraine, it seemed the FAA did not have much flexibility this time.
Tourism accounts for six per cent of Israel’s GDP.
