In 2025, the automotive industry witnessed a surge in new and redesigned models of electric, hybrid, and CNG vehicles, ranging from SUVs to sedans, crossovers, and convertibles, among others.
The industry witnessed significant technological shifts, particularly in electrification (EVs) and deep software integration (SDVs), including connected cars with 5G and AI, which are changing consumer buying habits and focusing on sustainable mobility. However, infrastructure gaps and high EV costs remain hurdles.
Automakers partnered with tech companies to develop smart features for autonomous cars, EVs, and connected vehicles, transforming the driving experience and integrating vehicles into the internet of things (IoT) ecosystem.
However, traditional diesel and petrol models still dominate the top, with new EVs steadily rising as the industry shifts toward electrification.
