President Bola Tinubu on Thursday performed the swearing in of two ministers, while also presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The new ministers are Bernard Doro and Kingsley Ude, from Plateau and Enugu States, respectively.
The two Ministers are expected to fill their states’ vacancies at the Federal Executive Council.
The two ministers were nominated to fill the existing vacancies in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, as well as the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction became vacant following the appointment of Nentawe Yilwatda as the chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), while that of Science, Technology and Innovation became vacant following the resignation of Uche Nnaji over alleged certificate scandal.

The FEC meeting comes after several postponements, as the last one was held on August 13.
Apart from likely adjustments in the Tinubu’s cabinet, it is also expected that certain policy measures will be unveiled, especially with regards to the 2026 budget.
