Visa and PEMANDU Associates have announced a strategic partnership to revolutionise government services across 14 African countries through cutting-edge digital solutions.

The collaboration aims to enhance public sector efficiency, boost financial inclusion, and improve access to essential services for millions of citizens.

By combining Visa’s expertise in digital payments, digital identity, and emerging technologies with PEMANDU’s proven Big Fast Results (BFR) methodology, the partnership will empower governments to streamline processes, optimise revenue collection, and deliver better services. PEMANDU’s BFR approach, which has driven reforms in over 30 countries globally, will anchor the initiative, ensuring rapid and sustainable outcomes.

Andrew Uaboi, vice president & head, Visa West Africa, in a statement, said Visa believes digital payments and emerging technologies are powerful enablers of inclusive growth.

“This partnership with PEMANDU strengthens our commitment to working alongside governments in West Africa and across the continent to accelerate digitisation, drive efficiency, and expand access to essential services. Together, we can help build stronger, more inclusive economies that deliver better outcomes for citizens,” Uaboi added.

“We look forward to working closely with Visa Government Solutions CEMEA to complement our partnerships with governments on their digitisation priorities, mobilising resources, and accessing Visa’s technology to deliver greater results for their people,” said Ms. Aida Azmi, joint managing director and partner at PEMANDU Associates.
