Citiserve a member of the Vigeo group Limited has unveiled a new mobile point of sale terminal OrangeBox 7210 at a colorful event held at Points by Sheraton in Lagos.
The company said the introduction of the new product is not only part of its commitment to strengthen its market base to meet customers demand but also deepen the success recorded on the cashless policy initiative in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch, the Chief Operating Officer, Jubril Salaudeen said “the CitiServe Orangebox , provides a more secure, simple and efficient payment solution to merchants in the Nigerian market with a is a robust, dynamic built on innovation to satisfy customer needs, we are determined to maintained.”
He added that ‘’it is also the device of choice for businesses in the e-commerce space that operate door-to-door delivery and need secured payment processing”.
“The first OrangeBox, was introduced in 2011, as part of CBN cashless roll-out, over the years has proven ro be a preferred Point of Sale (PoS) terminal modeled for the climate of Nigeria. With its strong external shell for accidental drop the latest product gives customers a different level of efficiency with a very strong transceiver to pick weak signals for GPRS major Nigeria Networks with options for other PoS communication including WiFi, local area network (LAN) and dual subscriber identity module (SIM) cards.”The event was witnessed by representatives of virtually all the banks in Nigeria, Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) and other captains of the industry.
