A technology firm has announced a change of its name from Supapbot to Retentifi, a move geared towards rebranding and innovative service delivery.
The co-founders of the firm stated that the change of the firm’s name and its rebranding was a reflection of how their platform had evolved beyond what they originally built, and also a commitment to the comprehensive retention solution they had recently launched, called Retentifi.
Software engineer and founder of Retentifi, Gabriel Udo, noted that the rebranding signalled their intent to move beyond “bot”, adding that the bot in their old name was limiting their vision, that it suggested a narrow tool, something that responds to queries and nothing more, emphasising that that is not what they are building.
“When we started building Supapbot, focused on helping SaaS companies detect frustrated customers through AI-powered sentiment analysis, the bot in our name made sense.
“But as we developed the platform and talked to more customers, we realised something important — businesses do not just need a smarter chatbot. They need a complete system for understanding, retaining, and nurturing their customers,” Udo said.
On the other hand, software engineer and co-founder of the firm, Ayodeji Erinfolami, stated that Retentifi is a comprehensive customer retention intelligence platform that detects emotions and prevents churn, and that it does so much more than traditional chatbot solutions.
Erinfolami added that with the AI platform, they are transforming how businesses approach customer retention — from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven relationship building.
“Our AI understands context, tone, and emotion in real-time, giving businesses a complete picture of customer sentiment, not just what happens in one channel. It does not just analyse chatbot conversations; it monitors sentiment across every customer touch point, such as email communications, support tickets, live chat, social media mentions, and product feedback,” Erinfolami said.
The Retentifi bosses explained that traditional chatbots are isolated tools, and they answer questions in only one channel. But effective customer retention, they further explained, requires much more, which makes Retentifi the operational backbone of an entire retention strategy.
The co-founders noted that while Supapbot is now Retentifi, their commitment to the tech industry and to their customers remains the same. They emphasised that they are not just rebranding; they are building the future of customer retention and helping SaaS companies turn frustrated customers into loyal advocates.
