He said it was incumbent on all well meaning citizens to make efforts to bring succour to the displaced persons and the church decided to evolve a programme that would cover all IDPs across the country.
Taraba IDPs excited as Oyedepo distribute relief materials to camps
Internally displaced persons IDPs, in Taraba camps were on Thursday excited as the President Living Faith church (LFC) world wide Bishop David Oyedepo, through the Humanatrian Aid Committee HAC, of the church distributed relief materials worth N5.m naira to four camps within Jalingo metropolis.
Distributing the materials through the State residence Pastor incharge of Jalingo Frank Inock Esifanus, Oyedepo said the gesture was part of the church’s effort to reach out to displaced persons across the country
Oyedepo who urged the displaced persons to always look up to God for “With him all things are possible”
also warned the beneficiaries not to sell the materials given to them.
Some of the beneficiaries Who spoke to Our correspondent including Barde Abdulahi Amina Aliyu expressed satisfaction over the quality of materials distributed to the camps and appealed to the church to sustain the gesture
“We are thankful to Living Faith Church. The quality of materials they distributed is one of the best we have seen in this camps, I hope they will sustain this,” Barde stated.
Materials distributed were clothes, bags of rice, bags of maize and bags of millet across the four IDPs camps of Muslem council, Shauya, Huwe and Kona primary schools.
