West Ham’s dismal run at their new home continued as they were beaten 3-0 by Southampton.
Goals from Charlie Austin and Dusan Tadic and a late third from James Ward-Prowse gave the visitors victory, the result heaping more pressure on Hammers boss Slaven Bilic following a poor start to the new season.
Austin’s first-half opener, which followed a flowing team move, saw a dismal game burst into life and Tadic’s strike just after the hour mark extended the lead for Claude Puel’s side. Both teams had further chances in an entertaining finish to the game, but it was the Saints who took home all three points as Ward-Prowse sealed it late on.
