Victor Osimhen continued his scoring form with a goal and an assist as Galatasaray crushed Eyüpspor 5-1 to extend their lead at the top of the Süper Lig standings.

The Nigerian forward set up Roland Sallai for the opening goal in the 29th minute, helping Galatasaray seize early control of the match.

After the break, Lucas Torreira doubled the lead with a fine finish in the 56th minute before Osimhen got on the scoresheet himself, netting Galatasaray’s third goal in the 71st minute.

Eyüpspor pulled one back through Luccas Claro in the 79th minute, but their hopes were short-lived as substitute Álvaro Morata scored twice in quick succession, in the 87th and 89th minutes, to wrap up a dominant performance.

With the victory, Galatasaray increased their points tally to 80, maintaining a five-point lead over arch-rivals Fenerbahçe. Eyüpspor remained fifth on the table with 50 points.

Osimhen, who was substituted for Ahmed Kutucu 14 minutes from time, now boasts 22 goals in the Turkish Super Lig and 31 across all competitions this season, underlining his status as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.

Galatasaray will next face Sivasspor on Saturday as they continue their march towards the league title.
