Manchester United remain keen on signing Victor Osimhen, with the 26-year-old Nigerian striker still firmly on their radar ahead of the summer transfer window. However, despite growing interest, there have been concerns over Osimhen’s reported wage demands.
Sources close to Osimhen have clarified that the Super Eagles star is not demanding over £400k-a-week to make the switch to the Premier League, with Man United his preferred destination. According to TBR Football, while Osimhen is understandably seeking a competitive salary, his camp has dismissed the rumours of excessive demands as inaccurate.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, Osimhen is expected to return to his parent club at the end of the season. He remains the highest-paid player in Serie A, and although he is eyeing a move to England, his representatives insist his financial expectations are realistic.
United have long been tracking the prolific forward. While they are open to strengthening their frontline, Napoli’s £60 million release clause and speculation over Osimhen’s wages have raised questions about the feasibility of the deal.
TBR Football also reports that if Napoli’s demands are not met this summer, Osimhen is prepared to see out his contract, which expires in 2026, and leave on a free transfer.
Napoli are eager to sell Osimhen this summer to avoid losing him for nothing, and talks are expected to escalate in the coming weeks.
United manager Ruben Amorim currently has Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee in his squad, but both strikers have struggled to perform consistently, highlighting the club’s need for a reliable goal scorer.
Osimhen, who has also attracted interest from clubs across Europe and the Saudi Pro League, is believed to prioritise a move to the Premier League.
