The Super Eagles of Nigeria have ended Cameroon’s dream of a record World Cup qualification. The Super Eagles got the much needed point in Yaounde following Moses Simon’s goal to give Nigeria the 1-0 lead in Cameroon.

Eagles gave an excellent performance over the 2 legs, getting 4 points.

While Vincent Aboubakar’s penalty is enough to prevent Nigeria being able to wrap up qualification this week, it was not enough keep Cameroon’s own hopes of top spot alive.

The Super Eagles dropped the pace substantially the second period and paid for it, as the hosts’ presence in their neighbours’ half greatly improved.

Zambia will be able to cut the gap to the leaders tomorrow but Nigeria remain firmly in control.

All Nigeria require to book their place at next year’s 2018 FIFA World Cup is just a victory from two games.

Nigeria next game will against Zambia and Algeria

Details later…..
