Reports says Barcelona offer PSG £36m plus Coutinho and Dembélé for Neymar

Barcelona have reportedly offered Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) £36m plus Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele for Neymar, but the cash-plus-player offer has been rejected by PSG, according to reports from Spanish media AS .

Neymar has expressed his desire to quit Paris Saint-Germain less than two years after his controversial £198m move from the Spanish giants.

AS claim PSG have received a £36m cash bid plus Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho in exchange for the Brazilian.

However, the French side’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to have immediately rejected the proposal as “ridiculous”.

The Qatari chief wants to recuperate as much of his 2017 outlay as possible and has told intermediaries he will not entertain anything lower than £270m for the Samba star.

But that figure is way beyond Barca, who were forced to take out a loan to fund the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid last week.

And that led them to try and entice PSG into a deal involving two of their current attackers in exchange.

Neymar’s mega £32m-a-year salary could also prove a major stumbling block to completing what many claim is his “dream” move back to Barca.

He allegedly sent a text to Al-Khelaifi that said: “I do not want to play more in PSG. I want to go back to my house, where I never should have left.”

He remains undeterred by that as he continues to try and force his way out of the Ligue 1 champions.

The 27-year-old showed up late for pre-season training and has also recently stated his favourite moment so far in his career was the stunning 6-1 Champions League comeback he and his then Barca team-mates inflicted on his current employers two years ago.

AS state the offer tabled by the Catalans was not official, instead through middle-men working on their behalf.

But as it stands it looks as if the forward will remain financially out of reach this transfer window, potentially leaving Neymar in limbo.

PSG sporting director Leonardo has previously admitted his fellow Brazilian can leave the club but if they receive an offer suitable to them.

Leonardo said: “Neymar can leave PSG, if there is an offer that suits everyone.
