Aston Villa forward Marcus Rashford could miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury during Villa’s FA Cup semi-final defeat by Crystal Palace on Saturday.
He is still being assessed and is not guaranteed to return before the end of the Premier League campaign.
Rashford could focus on recovering in time for England’s World Cup qualifier against Andorra and a friendly against Senegal in June.

He is ineligible to feature in Villa’s final match of the campaign against Manchester United, his parent club, on 25 May.
Rashford, who was spotted attending the high-profile boxing bout between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, has already made the decision not to enter discussions about his future until later in the summer.
Although his contract with Manchester United runs until 2028, Rashford is not expected to play for the Red Devils again while Ruben Amorim remains in charge.
The 27-year-old was recalled to the England squad by new manager Thomas Tuchel in March after being omitted from the Euro 2024 squad.
