Three people were struck by a car near the Champs-Élysées as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fans flooded the streets following the club’s historic qualification for the UEFA Champions League final.
One person was reported to be in critical condition, while two others were hospitalised following the incident, which occurred late Wednesday during spontaneous street festivities.
The celebrations came after PSG’s 2-1 second-leg win over Arsenal, securing a 3-1 aggregate victory and the club’s second-ever appearance in the Champions League final.

According to Paris police, the exact circumstances of the car crash are under investigation, and a police official confirmed the location of the incident near the iconic Champs-Élysées Avenue.
While most of the city was filled with jubilation and celebrations, the car crash cast a shadow over the night’s revelry. In addition to the injuries, 43 arrests were made across Paris in connection with minor public disturbances.
PSG’s victory marked a milestone for the French champions, who will now face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on May 31 in Munich.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s dream of a first-ever Champions League title came to a bitter end at the Parc des Princes, despite a spirited performance.
