Serie A champions Napoli are reportedly targeting a summer move for Nigeria international and reigning African Player of the Year Ademola Lookman.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Partenopei are interested in signing the Atalanta forward as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign.
Lookman is seen as a potential long-term replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who departed for Paris Saint-Germain midway through last season.

Napoli kicked off their summer business with a statement signing, securing Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer following the Belgian’s trophy-laden decade at Manchester City. The club’s new era under Antonio Conte, fresh off a Scudetto-winning campaign, is expected to bring a flurry of further signings.

Lookman has emerged as a top target for the club, with reports suggesting Napoli are prepared to offer around €50 million for the in-form attacker. However, Atalanta are holding out for a fee of more than €60 million, as they brace for serious interest from across Europe.
The 27-year-old former Everton forward, who scored a hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final, is understood to be open to a move this summer. Sources indicate that Lookman has expressed his desire to leave Atalanta, paving the way for negotiations with potential suitors.
In addition to Lookman, Napoli have also been linked with Liverpool’s Darwin Núñez and Bologna’s Dan Ndoye, but the Atalanta star appears to be their primary attacking target as Conte looks to build a title-defending squad capable of competing on all fronts.
