Manchester United are set to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha after agreeing to activate the £62.5 million buyout clause in his contract.
The Red Devils have moved swiftly to begin an overhaul of Ruben Amorim’s squad following their worst season since relegation 51 years ago.

United finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham, resulting in their failure to qualify for European competition next season.
Cunha, who netted 17 goals last season to help Wolves avoid relegation, has made it clear he’s ready for a new challenge.
“I’ve made it clear that I need to take the next step,” Cunha told The Guardian in March. “I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential.”
United are also prepared to meet the £30 million buyout clause for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, according to ESPN.
The England under-21 international scored 12 Premier League goals last season but is expected to depart after Ipswich’s relegation back to the Championship. Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring Delap.
Amorim has warned that United’s ability to reshape the squad could be affected by financial sustainability regulations.
Chief executive Omar Berrada stressed the need for balance. “We have a very clear idea of where we need to invest in the squad to improve, so (technical director) Jason (Wilcox), his team, and Ruben have been in talks for many months,” Berrada told MUTV. “Now it’s a question of executing that plan in a way that is prudent but at the same time ambitious.”
