Juventus, PSG, Man United in fresh battle for Victor Osimhen

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, with the Nigerian star expected to make a high-profile move in the summer transfer window.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 30 appearances for the Turkish giants. However, he is set to return to Napoli at the end of the 2024/25 season.

The Red Devils are in desperate need of a top-class striker and see Osimhen as the perfect fit. He reportedly has a £62m release clause for foreign clubs, making him an attractive option.

The Old Lady are searching for a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who is likely to leave in the summer. Osimhen’s proven Serie A record makes him a prime candidate.

With Luis Enrique’s side aiming for Champions League dominance, a new striker is high on PSG’s agenda. Although Ousmane Dembélé (30 goals) and Bradley Barcola (18 goals) have impressed, PSG wants a traditional centre-forward.

United’s edge in Osimhen battle?

Manchester United may hold an advantage, as Osimhen has long been linked with a move to the Premier League. Additionally, Napoli is reportedly interested in Rasmus Højlund, opening the door for a potential swap deal.

Is Chelsea back in Osimhen’s race?

Osimhen was close to joining Chelsea last summer, but a deal never materialized. The Blues are expected to renew their pursuit, adding another layer of competition for his signature.

With multiple European heavyweights circling, Osimhen’s next move promises to be one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer.
