Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly expressed strong interest in signing Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman as part of his ambitious plans to strengthen the squad for the 2025/26 season.
According to Italian media outlet TV3, while no formal agreement has been reached, Lookman, the reigning African Footballer of the Year, has been on Barcelona’s radar since March.
The Atalanta star enjoyed an outstanding season, registering 20 goals and seven assists, firmly establishing himself as one of Europe’s top-performing wingers.

Although his exact market value remains uncertain, with reports suggesting a price range between €30 million and €60 million, Barcelona are reportedly eager to bolster their options on the flanks and see Lookman as a prime candidate to inject pace, creativity, and goal-scoring threat into their attack.
Lookman is under contract with Atalanta until 2026, a situation that places Barcelona in a potentially favourable negotiating position to secure a financially viable deal.
While official transfer talks are yet to begin, sources confirm that Lookman is highly rated within the club, and Flick views him as a strategic addition to his evolving project at Camp Nou.
Interest in the Nigerian international is growing across Europe. Top clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus, are all reportedly monitoring Lookman’s situation closely as they seek to strengthen their attacking units.
Lookman’s consistent performances for club and country, including his hat-trick in the Europa League final, have elevated his reputation on the global stage, and Barcelona could be his next destination if Flick gets his way.
