Tottenham complete loan deal for Kolo Muani

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Randal Kolo Muani on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

The 26-year-old striker had been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham, but Spurs moved quickly on deadline day to reach an agreement after personal terms were finalised with Thomas Frank’s side.

Kolo Muani spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, where he impressed with eight goals in 16 Serie A appearances.

The France international, who joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023, has two Ligue 1 titles to his name and 31 senior caps for Les Bleus, including a goal in the 2022 World Cup semi-final against Morocco before featuring in the final against Argentina.

He becomes Tottenham’s fourth senior signing of the summer after Mohammed Kudus, João Palhinha and Xavi Simons. Alongside wingers Kudus and Simons, Kolo Muani is expected to form part of a new-look Spurs frontline as the club gears up for its return to the Champions League.

Spurs have endured a challenging transfer window, missing out on targets such as Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze, who instead joined Arsenal.

The club remains in the market for a central defender before the 19:00 BST deadline, with Manchester City’s Manuel Akanji among those being monitored.
