Cristiano Ronaldo is close to agreeing on a new two-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, according to a BBC report.
The 40-year-old Portugal captain was initially expected to leave at the end of June when his current deal was due to expire.
However, sources now indicate that an extension is nearing completion, keeping him at the Riyadh-based club until 2027.

Ronaldo sparked exit rumours last month when he posted, “The chapter is over” on social media following Al-Nassr’s final Saudi Pro League game of the season.
That led to speculation about a possible move elsewhere, especially after FIFA president Gianni Infantino raised the prospect of him joining a club competing in the expanded 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
While Ronaldo confirmed he had received offers from participating clubs, he revealed he had turned them down, opting instead to remain in Saudi Arabia.
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus forward recently helped Portugal win the UEFA Nations League and is now said to be considering personal sports investment opportunities in the Gulf region as part of his long-term commitment.
Since joining Al-Nassr in 2023 following his departure from United, Ronaldo has scored 99 goals in 111 appearances, including 35 goals in 41 matches last season, enough to secure the Golden Boot as the league’s top scorer.
