Liverpool will play Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League round of 16, while Arsenal take on PSV Eindhoven and Aston Villa meet Club Brugge.
The first-leg ties are scheduled for March 4 and 5, with the return legs on March 11 and 12.
Liverpool, Premier League title contenders, face a challenging period in their season. Arne Slot’s side last met PSG in the 2018/19 campaign when they went on to win their sixth European title.
Champions League holders Real Madrid, who eliminated Manchester City in the knockout phase play-offs, will take on city rivals Atletico Madrid, while Bayern Munich face Bayer Leverkusen in an all-German encounter.
All three English clubs; Liverpool, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are on the same side of the draw. This means Liverpool could meet Aston Villa in the quarter-finals and Arsenal in the semi-finals. Any English team that reached the final could face Real Madrid, but Barcelona will not be an opponent until the championship match.
