Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has been omitted from Atalanta’s squad for their 2025/26 UEFA Champions League group opener against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes.
Head coach Ivan Juric excluded Lookman after the winger missed training on Tuesday, extending his absence to a fourth consecutive game this season.
The 27-year-old former Everton star has not featured for Atalanta since the end of the 2024/25 campaign, having already been dropped from their opening three Serie A fixtures.
Lookman attempted to force a summer move to Inter Milan, boycotting training for nearly a month and skipping pre-season preparations. Although he has since returned to training at Zingonia, Juric has continued to leave him out of matchday squads.
His omission compounds Atalanta’s problems ahead of their trip to Paris, with Ederson, Gianluca Scamacca, Sead Kolašinac, and Mitchel Bakker also unavailable through injury.
The Nigerian is under contract with Atalanta until June 2027, but his future in Bergamo appears increasingly uncertain.
