Arsenal beat Watford 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday as Arsene Wenger‘s side momentarily went three points behind Tottenham to keep their Premier League title hope alive.

Alexis Sanchez and Alex Iwobi both scored in the first half, while Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott added insurance goals against a ragged Watford outfit.

With the win, Arsenal remain in third and now have 58 points but have a game in hand.  The Gunners started brightly and took the lead in the fourth minute.

Alex Iwobi crossed for Sanchez and his initial header was saved by Heurelho Gomes but the ball bounced back to Sanchez who slotted home. 1-0.

Arsenal continue to push hard and pinned Watford back into their own half with Iwobi, Welbeck and Sanchez denied by Gomes.

Watford grew into the game and Odion Ighalo almost wriggled free, plus Troy Deeney had a header easily saved by David Ospina.
