Wakanow, leading travel technology company, has onboarded Nigeria’s new domestic carrier, NG Eagle Airline, to its booking platform, as part of efforts to deepen its domestic flight offerings and make air travel more accessible and affordable for Nigerians.

The partnership was unveiled at a launch held on Thursday, July 10, at the NG Eagle head office in Abuja, where officials of both companies described the move as strategic for Nigeria’s growing aviation sector.

The integration means that travellers can now search, compare and book NG Eagle flights directly via the Wakanow website and mobile app, broadening options for trips between major cities within the country. The collaboration is also expected to enhance Wakanow’s network and strengthen its capacity to meet increasing demand for local air travel.

NG Eagle is said to currently operate key domestic routes across Lagos, Abuja, Sokoto, Kano, Owerri, Benin and Port Harcourt, positioning itself as a significant player in the country’s short-haul aviation market.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Wakanow Nigeria, Adenike Macaulay, said the partnership with NG Eagle reflected the company’s resolve to offer more choices to travellers across the country.

“We are pleased to welcome NG Eagle to our growing roster of airline partners. The integration aligns with our mission to offer clear flight choices and better flexibility. As NG Eagle expands its route network, our customers will enjoy more connectivity across Nigeria — backed by the trust and ease that define Wakanow,” Macaulay said.

Also speaking, the Accountable Manager/Managing Director of NG Eagle, Captain Amir Gaya, said the airline was poised to redefine domestic air travel in Nigeria, stressing that the partnership with Wakanow would help boost its visibility and customer reach.

“From the outset, our ambition has been to elevate the domestic flying experience in Nigeria. Partnering with Wakanow gives us a robust channel to connect with millions of Nigerians who value convenience, affordability, and safety in air travel,” Gaya said. “We are committed to building a reliable, customer-centric airline, and this partnership marks a significant step towards achieving that goal.”

Meanwhile, Wakanow disclosed that the launch would be supported by a nationwide digital and retail campaign commencing on July 11.

Wakanow said it remained committed to simplifying travel for Africans and connecting people to destinations across the country with ease.
