The CodeBridge Youth Initiative has announced a major milestone: partnerships with schools and education networks that have extended its reach to more than 150,000 students nationwide.
CodeBridge is a non-profit that provides structured pathways into technology through curricula, mentorship, and employer connections. Its latest partnerships include adoption of the Logic Gate Learning Portal in schools, giving students practical tools to make computer science concepts tangible.
One of the most significant partnerships is with the Association of Sound Professional Educators of Nigeria (ASPEN), which represents more than 102 schools. ASPEN’s endorsement of the Logic Gate Learning Portal has enabled tens of thousands of students to access interactive computing education that was previously unavailable.
Teachers report a dramatic shift in student engagement. “Before, my students could only memorise abstract theory,” said Awoniyi Opeyemi computing teacher in Ogun State. “Now they can simulate circuits, test ideas, and collaborate. It has completely changed their confidence.”
Michael Akinyemi emphasises that partnerships are central to CodeBridge’s strategy. “We designed CodeBridge to be scalable. That means we must work with schools, employers, and mentors to create an ecosystem where students can thrive. The ASPEN partnership shows that community organisations and schools can collaborate to reach scale,” he said.
