Shop owners count their loss as Lagos mall opens after anti-SA riots
Small business owners with shops at the Surulere mall in Lagos have Monday been counting their losses after the mall was opened for the first time since last week’s looting my mobs.
The mall was attacked and looted last week when mobs pretending to be protesters against the attacks on Nigerians in South Africa invaded the facility stealing everything of value in their site.
As the gate of the mall was flung open again Monday morning, the shop owners were able to see for the first time the extent of the looting and destruction.
