The House of Representatives will constitute 102 standing Committees in September when it would resume from the two months annual recess beginning next month.
The House however, constituted the House Service Committee to enable the House Service to be able to check into the offices of Members to provide furniture and electronic equipment where they are lacking to help Members in the discharge of their duties.

“On the issue of the two adho Committees of House of Representatives regarding to Edo and Bauchi states, the Committees are doing their jobs and by the special grace of God before we go on recess the Committees will submit their reports based on the time limit given to them.
“Executive session was held and the issue of House Service Committee came up, Mr. Speaker promised members that standing Committees are not going to be constituted now. They are going to be constituted sometimes in September by the special grace of God but the House Service Committee will be put in place before we go on recession on either 25th or 26th of this month.
“Out of the 102 standing Committees, Mr. Speaker will constitute only one which is the House Service Committee and the reason for constituting a standing Committee for House Service is to enable the House Service to be able to check into the offices of Members where some are lacking some furniture and electronic equipment that will contribute to the discharge of their duties”, Gagdi stated.
