Carloha Nigeria, the exclusive distributor of Chery vehicles, says it will begin a vehicle assembly plant in Nigeria next year.
“We want to have one of the biggest assembly plants in Nigeria,” said Sola Adigun, managing director of Carloha Nigeria.
Adigun said at a media parley ahead of the official launch of the all-new Chery Tiggo 9 SUV that the firm’s vehicle products have earned the trust of Nigerians due to their quality, noting that Carloha offers a six-year warranty, six years of scheduled maintenance, and a seven-day repair commitment.
He said it was time Nigeria had vehicle component manufacturers, urging the government to continue creating an environment that would encourage them. He called for a legislation that will prevent importers from bringing in rickety vehicles of over 10 years to protect Nigerians from frequent repairs.
“We have seen people bring in substandard vehicle products. We need to have a legislation that bars products of certain age limits. Some of these vehicles develop fuel pump issues or other problems after two weeks. So, having a legislation will help to stop that trend,” he said.
Carloha is an online and offline automobile company, specialising in the sales and service of high quality new and used vehicles, utilising advanced technology to provide services, according to Taiwo Akinpelu, general manager, Marketing, Carloha.
Akinpelu said between 2023 and now, the company has expanded to Port Harcourt, Kano, Abuja and to several other cities across Nigeria.
“We’ve opened various mall stores across Nigeria, including in Abuja. From Lagos to Benin to Port Harcourt to Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, even Maiduguri, we are expanding our footprints.

“Beyond that, we also have our online business, which includes our US, main website, our mobile website, our mobile app, and this online business actually has presence in more than 48 states – in the United States and even across other countries around the world.”
He added, “We are bringing in Cherry EVs into the market as well. Very soon, you begin to see that within the next couple of months as well.”
He said Carloha’s products give our customers peace of mind due to their quality.
