The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, has acknowledged receipt of the N9.120trillion 2018 Appropriations bill passed by the National Assembly.
Enang, in a statement signed on Friday evening, said he has received the 2018 budget passed by both chambers of the house and is set to be transmitted to President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said: “I have received the 2018 appropriations bill for onward transmission to the President as soon as possible.
“Since the appropriations bills has received, what is left is for it to be transmitted immediately to the President”.
Speaking to State Houses Correspondents on Thursday, Senate President Bukola Saraki had assured that the National Assembly would transmit the money bill to the President on Friday.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had submitted an N8.612 trillion budget to a joint session of the National Assembly on November 7, 2018.
Both chambers, however, jerked up the amount by over N508 billion.
