On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje alongside the state deputy governor Nasiru Gawuna, received his certificate of return for his second term in office. Member of the state assembly also received their certificate.

Shortly after being presented with his certificate, the returning governor spoke on his plans for the state. According to him, “Kano state will become an attractive destination for investment”. He urged the citizens to help make the state a good spot for investors while welcoming those who wish to set up businesses or educational institutions in the state.

Also speaking on education, Governor Ganduje states that educating the girl-child in Kano state is top on the priority list of his administration as this will help kano state unlock 50% of economic output currently not being accessed by our society due to the low participation women. This education plan according to the returning governir also applies to the young people in the state.

Charging the people, he says, “We cannot wait till May 29 to welcome this new future. The future begins now. Today”.

Lastly, he states,  “We will also unveil a plan to partner with our local communities to ensure even the poorest of our communities have access to schools to educate their children. We will all grow together. Whether you are rich, middle class, or in our most local locations, Kano will welcome you and together build a collective wealth of the future.
