There was, however, jubilation as supporters of Oyekunle and PDP took to the streets of Ibadan North in celebration, describing the outcome as a “coast-to-coast victory” and a clear indication that the umbrella party remains the party of the people in the Pacesetter State.

Adeniran Tella, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Resident Electoral Commissioner for Oyo State, had earlier stated that the process was peaceful, with no reports of violence or malfunctioning Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines.

Final result as declared by INEC.
