The Federal Government has rescheduled the expanded special session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in honour of the late President Muhammadu Buhari. The meeting will now hold on Thursday.
According to the government, the session will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It added that the special FEC meeting will be held after the third-day prayer for the late President at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.

A delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, including Cabinet Ministers, is already in Katsina for the prayers.
Rabiu Ibrahim, Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, said the expanded FEC meeting will be attended by the leadership of the National Assembly – the Senate and the House of Representatives – the Judiciary, and representatives of the late President’s family.
The Federal Government also announced that Friday, 18 July, will now be set aside for a special prayer session in honour of the late President at the National Mosque, Abuja. On Sunday, 20 July, a special church service will be held in his honour.
