…Plans massive rally for Tinubu, Ganduje, others in Abuja
In a bid to counter opposition’s moves to build a coalition against President Bola Tinubu’s bid to run for the 2027 Presidential race, the All Progressive Congress APC’s intellectual arm, The Progressive Institute TPI and Coalition of Ganduje Support Groups, CGSG, have concluded plans for massive rally in Abuja, as shown of support for the President.
BusinessDay gathered from the APC group in Abuja that the rally is being put together to demonstrate its readiness to back Tinubu’s candidature in 2027.
Kabir Ida; an Architect and frontline business morgul, who is among those bankrolling the rally, indicated that it will also be used honour all the party officials, especially those recently appointed by President Tinubu.

The reception/ rally will also be used to restate the party’s Vote of confidence in the administration of President Tinubu.
The move is coming on the heels of recent visit by some All Progressive Congress APC Governors to former President Muhammadu Buhari, which portray the existence of internal wranglings in the party
BusinessDay also gathered that the rally which is being organised by those loyal to Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC National Chairman, is to demonstrate support for the President
According to the organisers, ” We want to show that there is no division in our party and that the APC is even stronger today, than it was in 2023
” It will be used to also honour all the APC officers who were appointed into the headship of boards and Parastatals of the federal government by President Tinubu
“The rally will also be used to honour Abdullahi Ganduje , National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and other members of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC
Aliyu Ibrahim, main convener of the event, said it will be used to appreciate President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ganduje and other NWC members into various boards of the nation’s institutions.
The event scheduled for Friday, 2nd, May, 2025, will also feature a Special appreciation dinner by the Abuja based socio-political group, Coalition of Ganduje Support Groups, CGSG-Abuja.
“CGSG-ABUJA has concluded plans to host our performing and result oriented National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, members of the National Working Committee, NWC and political associates and friends of the Chairman in a colourful dinner to appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership style”, Aliyu said.

“The CGSG-ABUJA convener also added that the occasion will be used to rally support for the Ganduje led NWC and pray for the success of President Tinubu in his bid to revamp the economy of country.
“The Dinner, proudly supported by The Progressive Institute, TPI; APC Intellectual Resource Center, Architect Kabir Ida; a frontline business morgul and notable allies of APC, will take place at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel, formerly Sheraton hotel, Abuja.”
