Taraba State Police Command says it has begun and intensified manhunt on the killers of Emmanuel Kefas, a graduate of Human Kinetics and her lover, Comfort Jimtop, a 100 level student of Mass Communication at the Taraba State University (TSU) in Jalingo.
The two lovers died mysteriously at the weekend at ATC, opposite the State University.
While Jimtop’s lifeless body was found in the early hours of Friday inside her lover’s (Kefas Emmanuel) house, her lover, Emmanuel’s lifeless body was also found the same day in a bush path at Tundiri Village, Ardo-Kola Local Government, a few kilometres away from his house.

The Police sources, who are conducting investigation into the incident, confirm that a sister to Jimtop was the first to have discovered the lifeless body in her boyfriend’s house after series of attempts to know her (Comfort Jimtop) whereabouts failed at the late hours of Thursday.
James Lashen, Police Public Relations Officer, Taraba state command, while confirming the incident, noted that a village head from Ardo-Kola came to report to the outpost station that a lifeless body of Emmanuel Kefas was found in a bush path within Kundiri Village.
The acting PPRO said the two incidents, which were discovered at separate points, were reported to a Police outpost stationed at the gate of the University.

“We are yet to ascertain who killed any (sic) of them; their bodies were discovered at separate locations. We are conducting investigation to get to the root of the killings, for now, their bodies have been deposited at FMC mortuary”, Lashen stated.
Meanwhile, BusinessDay gathered that before the incident, the two lovers were engaged in a series of references. sister to Comfort Jimtop also told Police that Kefas invited his lover to his house on her presence for possible settlement of their disagreement when the sad incident occurred.
