The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it had approved scheduled meetings of key statutory organs of the party to discuss issues aimed at repositioning the party.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh, on Friday in Abuja.
The statement said that the meeting was approved due to recent development within the party.
“The meetings are in furtherance of internal discussions on very crucial issues within the party as well as ways to reposition it for the challenges ahead,’’ it stated.
According to the statement, the National Working Committee of the party is scheduled to meet with the PDP National Caucus on Feb. 9, at 7 p.m.
“This will be followed by the meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) on Wednesday, Feb. 10, while the National Executive Committee (NEC) will meet on Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.,’’ it added.
