The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold a non-elective special Convention in August 12, 2017.
The event which holds in Abuja, is expected to extend the tenure of the National Caretaker Committee, which ends on August 16, 2017.
These are some of the resolutions at the 74th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the opposition party in Abuja on Tuesday.
Dayo Adeyeye, spokesperson of the party, stated this on the outcome of the meeting on Tuesday.
He stated that due to time constraint, it would be impossible to have a proper elective national convention before the end of the Committee’s tenure.
This comes as the party also announced a standing Disciplinary and Reconciliation Committees.
