Prince Ehirim is a Nollywood actor, fitness model and an IT solutions expert. He recently attained the status of Mr Ideal Nigeria 2016 and is also a brand ambassador for Kiakiagas. He studied agricultural engineering but ditched it later for what he truly loves– computer science! So when he is not in front of the camera, he’s providing IT solutions for some businesses, managing his own company iGeezmo Ltd, or working out at the gym or anywhere else lifting weights, doing squats, push up, jumping jacks or anything to keep him in shape.

Growing up

I don’t even know how to describe it; I was so clueless I was just doing everything without a plan. Of course I was just a fitness junkie so I was still enjoying myself. I didn’t even have a fitness goal myself. But when I got selected to contest in the 2016 Mr Ideal Nigeria contest, I realized I needed to be a lot more serious and educated myself in physical education.

Ever had weight issues?

I have never had any health or weight issue; I have been working out at least once a week since I was 16. I am always active, I cycle, run/jog, play basketball, I am a gym junkie and most importantly I try to eat right. I’m a very competitive person and being physically active makes me physically do things a lot can’t do, I cannot remember the last time I was ill and sometimes I don’t even believe the amount of strength I posses. I wake up every day feeling like the healthiest person on the planet, so refreshed because I don’t drink and neither do I smoke so I believe all my organs are intact especially my heart.

How are you helping people to stay fit?

I answer a lot of fitness questions everyday from Instagram, Facebook and questions coming into my mail. I am also a knowledge junkie so I do a lot of research. I also try to make a lot of motivational and inspirational videos to encourage people that are struggling with their weight or having doubts. I organize free workout classes and sessions when I can so I can actually train a lot of people at the same time. I also do personal training but I don’t like to have more than 3 clients a month so I can be effective at helping my clients achieve their fitness goals.
Winning Mr. Ideal

It was a very educational experience for me as I learnt a lot. I was also pushed to do a lot of research as Mr Ideal Nigeria goes beyond body building. It’s about entrepreneurship, leadership, business and intellectualism. Winning meant a lot to me, I knew I would need the platform to boost my acting career and my fitness brand. And, Yes! It’s working.

Tenure and expectations

I’m going to reign just for a year, I am going to be launching my IT business later in September, I am also representing Nigeria in the 2016 United Nations Pageant happening in Jamaica and also 2016 Mr Africa in London and by God’s grace 2016 Face of the world contest also in London.

How do you provide IT solutions for businesses?

I install business management softwares/solution for businesses, I also offer maintenance services like stock taking, database management etc. I am a web developer and I also run a phone/computer repair business.

Journey into acting

I used to work for a film/media house and to be a lot more valuable to the company I also taught myself video editing off YouTube. I have always dreamt of acting as a teenager so I came up with a plan to start a career behind the camera before going in front of it. The journey has been great; so far I have been in about 4 TV Series and at least 3 movies.

Favourite role

My favorite role was in the TV series calabash. I played the role of an adviser to a senator and I had the opportunity of kissing a girl I had a crush on then but unfortunately she was crushing on someone else on set then…I think… so she made the kiss really awkward because her crush was there while we were shooting that scene.

Father’s Day

It’s always a sad day for me as I get to think about my dad and how he died but I look forward to having kids and being a great father. I had a wonderful relationship with him though we didn’t talk much and we argued a lot but I really respected him and looked up to him as my role model. Thank you dad for being a great father to me and my family and I know you are somewhere happy and watching over us.
