Nigeria’s non-oil exports hit a record $1.7 billion in QI, the highest in 49 years.

Onanuga, quoting Nonye Ayeni, the Executive Director, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, said the value of non-oil exports recorded in the first quarter was 24.75 per cent higher than the corresponding value in the first quarter of 2024.
” She said the year-on-year increase was the highest since the council was created 49 years ago.
According to him, ” Cocoa and its derivatives accounted for 45 per cent of the lot.
He also noted that Products such as cashew nuts, sesame seeds, aluminium and copper ingots, soybeans, and rubber also topped the list of exports.
