The Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria (SiBAN) has announced a strategic partnership with Vontech, an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner, to accelerate blockchain innovation and capacity building in Nigeria through a $100,000 Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud credit initiative.
The collaboration will enable Nigerian blockchain startups and developers to access AWS Cloud resources, empowering them to build, scale, and optimise decentralised solutions using advanced cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
Through this initiative, SiBAN aims to strengthen Nigeria’s blockchain ecosystem by giving local innovators access to world-class tools often out of reach for early-stage startups. The support, according to the association, aligns with its broader mission of creating a safe, vibrant, and globally competitive blockchain environment.
“At SiBAN, our vision is to make Nigeria one of the safest and most vibrant blockchain ecosystems in the world. This partnership with AWS and Vontech reflects our commitment to equipping our members and startups with the technical foundation needed to innovate confidently and grow sustainably,” said Obinna Iwuno, president of SiBAN.
Vontech, which provides cloud engineering, DevOps, and digital transformation services, will facilitate access to the AWS credits and offer technical guidance to ensure startups effectively leverage the platform. The company’s expertise in cloud solutions and enterprise-grade deployments will help participating startups optimize performance and scale efficiently.
For Nigeria’s fast-growing Web3 community, the partnership marks a significant step toward bridging the technology gap between local builders and global resources. It also reinforces SiBAN’s growing role as a link between innovators, regulators, and international partners committed to blockchain adoption and digital inclusion.
SiBAN said the initiative will open up opportunities for blockchain founders, startups, and developers to access training, mentorship, and infrastructure support through its membership network. Beyond technology access, the collaboration is expected to drive conversations around compliance, digital asset regulation, and policy innovation.
By connecting local talent to global platforms like AWS, SiBAN and Vontech are positioning Nigeria’s blockchain community for a future defined by scalable innovation, investor confidence, and sustainable digital growth.
Startups and developers interested in joining the program are encouraged to become SiBAN members to access the AWS Cloud credits and other ecosystem opportunities designed to transform Nigeria’s blockchain sector into a competitive global hub.
