When the uninitiated looks inward in an attempt to venture into a business idea, he usually comes to a quick conclusion that there is no longer any room available him. That is a blatant lie! Simply because you see someone doing what you plan to do, or many similar businesses exist in your line of pursuit does not mean all the seats have been taken. Many have imbibed this lie and as a result their lofty dreams and great ideas never saw the light of day.
Have you ever traveled in the heat of the day on the express road where you get to see puddles of water ahead of you? Only for you to approach it and discover it was nonexistent, that it was a MIRAGE. The same goes for new entrants in the business world, your fears are unfounded, your worries and anxieties are a waste of time. All you need to know is that in life that others preceded you into coming into this world does not stop your coming into the world or block your space. So are businesses that exist or are even in your line of consideration, the same principle of life is applicable. To think they exist to block you or stop you is not true. The same way you were unstoppable when you were born, same way your business is unstoppable when you launch it or give birth to it.
So how do you know that there are rooms for you to thrive in this new venture?
Below is the understanding you must have and steps you can take:
1. There are more people to help you to succeed that you cannot imagine. Because we are limited as humans in scope and strength and our idea of the supernatural invading the natural is colored, it does not readily occur to us the provision our loving father made available to us as His children. He tells us “He will never leave us or forsake us so that we can boldly say that the Lord is our helper and we shall not fear what man can do unto us (Heb. 13:5-6). Helps, favors are available even from the least andunexpected sources when we dare to try. History is replete with successful people having chance encounters, never knowing that those encounters were not coincidences or happenstances, they were positioned there by God. (Matt. 5:45).
The success of every business is dependent on the number of people that patronize them. There are more people in need of the service you want to offer than the number of such business in existence. So it is needless to allow your fear make you inactive in pursuing your dream.
2. Your point of difference is your significance. How you enter and what you do when you enter is equally important. Businesses are successful because they know how to attract attention to themselves (Prov. 13:15). This requires you entering the market with requisite knowledge of the strength of your competitors and device your way of coming into the market to steal the show. Do not try to be like anyone, just be yourself- be different! Being uninteresting has never helped anyone win in the marketplace.
3. Dissatisfied customers are your opportunity. There are many unsatisfied clients looking for alternatives. Many times the big organization are so full and big that they do not give the best of service to their customers, and they end up having disgruntled clients. You might just be the right person the disgruntled clients have been waiting for. This truth can only be discovered as a participant in the marketplace not an onlooker. So until you move in you may never know.
Be part of the people that would have good stories to tell for daring to take the steps, even though they may stumble and fall, but never part of the miserable souls that are pained for never trying to risk for fear of failing. As you do this and move in, I see you become surprised at the possibilities awaiting you beyond your wildest imagination.
Remain Blessed
