President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate seeking approval of the N1.48 trillion Rivers State 2025 budget.
In the letter read by Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, at the Thursday plenary, Tinubu stated N324 billion is earmarked for Infrastructure development in the fiscal year, N166billion for health, N75.6 billion for Education, N31.4 billion for Agriculture and N5 billion for free drugs distribution to all categories of people in the state.

He also said that the budget would prioritise the creation of 6,000 jobs
The budget was referred to the Senate ad-hoc committee on Rivers rule and asked to revert as soon as practicable.
